To install and activate the Student Edition, follow these instructions from NI. Refer to the Studica site for information about what is included in the Student Edition. The software will contain a watermark on the front panel and block diagrams. It is a fully-functioning version and includes most of the features in LabVIEW full. There is one version available: LabVIEW Student Edition 2020 for Windows ($22) or LabVIEW Student Edition 2019 for Mac ($36). It must be downloaded from the country or geographic zone you will be using it in. It cannot be downloaded from the NI website. Students who do not meet this criteria may purchase LabVIEW Student Edition from Studica (3rd party reseller). Students affiliated with a lab – either working under a faculty member, or employed by the lab as a research assistant, research associate, graduate research assistant, or staff – may use the software at the facilities or download a copy on their personal devices. The University has a LabVIEW site license for faculty, students, and staff for research and teaching. It is available in English, French, German, Korean, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
